Grant Writer

more about ian

Ian's experience teaching English in South Korea for 2 1/2 years gave him a deep appreciation for education and the value it brings to students' lives. While teaching at a Korean technical High School, he saw firsthand the impact of education on students, opening doors to new opportunities they wouldn't otherwise have. In addition to teaching, Ian is an experienced writer with degrees in Journalism and Global Studies. His most meaningful time as a reporter was spent bringing awareness to overlooked communities and giving voice to those who felt unheard.

Now back in the US but still with a desire to teach, Ian is an instructor at the Angell Job Corps Center where he works with at-risk youth from across the country. With his writing skills and passion for education, Ian is excited to support Just One International through Grant Writing. When he isn't reading or writing, Ian can often be found hiking up a mountain looking for a good camping spot or hiking through the trees looking for his golf ball.
