Nurian joined Just One as a scholar in 2022, and the organization has been part of her story ever since. Growing up in Honduras, she experienced firsthand what an opportunity like Just One can open up for a young person. That experience never left her. Today she serves on staff as the manager of Just Café, bringing the same energy to her work that she once brought to her studies.

Nurian is currently studying business administration, and Just Café is as much a classroom as it is a workplace. Every day she is actively applying what she is learning, building skills she intends to pour back into the community that shaped her. She is making Just Café a space where scholars and community members can feel at home.

If you have spent any time at Just One, you have probably noticed Nurian before she ever introduced herself. She is the one smiling behind the counter. She has a way of making everyone around her feel at ease, and that warmth is as much a part of Just Café as the coffee itself.
