Jill grew up all over. She was born in Japan, raised across California, South Carolina, and Arizona, following her Air Force dad from place to place. Though she's lived many places, she calls Arizona home. It was a move to Chicago that brought her to Just One. A mutual friend connected her to the organization, and from the very first conversation, she knew it was where she wanted to invest her time. She joined the Just One staff in October 2025. Her background in communications, her years of loving Spanish, and even her degree all pointed toward this moment. Each thread of her life quietly prepared her for a role she hadn't imagined yet.
As Communications Director, Jill's goal is simple: represent Just One accurately and beautifully. She wants her work to make you feel like you've been there, that tug at your heart, and spark a desire to join the mission.
A lifelong reader and learner, Jill remembers learning what a privilege it is to have access to good education. A season of online school made her feel the absence of the classroom, and returning to it reignited something in her. That same season brought her face to face with the Spanish language for the first time, and she's never been the same. Just One pulls together so many passions she's cherished since childhood.
When she isn't working, Jill is most likely in the kitchen. Making food is a love language, and the dishes that follow are just part of the deal. From trips to Honduras to flights home to Arizona, she manages to cover a lot of ground.
