José Renaldo was raised in Siguatepeque, Honduras, and still calls it home today. He's grateful for the community that has shaped him. Just One has only deepened what that community means to him.

JR first connected with Just One in 2022, when he applied for a scholarship. He was nervous at first, but it quickly became more than an organization to him. It became a second home. Today he’s studying Computer Science Engineering while working on staff, where he helps scholars experience everything the program has to offer.

His parents have shaped him more than anyone. Their strength and perseverance continue to motivate him to work hard and build a meaningful future. Friends describe him as responsible, reliable, and kind. His community knows him as a hard worker, a good student, and a devoted son. For José, working here is about giving back the same sense of family he’s received, and helping every student in the program find that same belonging.
